麻辣燙 Malatang (Spicy Hot Pot)

Malatang, or Spicy Hot Pot, is a popular Chinese street food. Learn how to make this at home with this simple recipe. We use oyster sauce, which can enhance the flavor of meat and seafood, adding more depth to the taste.

 

MALA TANG (Hot & Spicy Hot Pot) (Serves 2)

Main Ingredients

20 oz shrimp

20 oz fish balls

1 slice spam

4 oz beef slices

2 oz imitation crab stick

3 slices lotus root

2 oz soaked wood ear

1 bok choy napa cabbage, as desired

 

Additional Ingredients

2 pieces green onion

2 slices ginger

6 cups water oil as needed

 

Sauces

1 Tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Sichuan Style Broad Bean Sauce

2 Tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Soup Base for Sichuan Hot & Spicy Hot Pot

1 Tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce

 

Directions:

1: Add oil in a heated pot and sauté green onions and ginger. Add 1 Tbsp. of Sichuan Style Broad Bean Sauce and 2 Tbsp. of Soup Base for Sichuan Hot & Spicy Hot Pot and stir-fry until fragrant, then add water.

2: Once water has boiled, add the Premium Oyster Sauce and all main ingredients, let boil for 5 minutes. Pour in a bowl and ready to serve.

主料

20安士 蝦

20安士 魚丸

1片 午餐肉

4安士 肥牛

2安士 蟹肉棒

3片 藕片

2安士 水發木耳

1棵 青江菜 少許 大白菜

 

輔料

2棵 蔥段

2片 薑

6杯 水 油 適量

 

醬料

1湯匙 李錦記四川風味紅油豆瓣醬

2湯匙 李錦記麻辣火鍋上湯 1湯匙 李錦記舊庄特級蠔油

 

做法:

1:起鍋熱油,爆香蔥段薑片,放入四川風味紅油豆瓣醬和麻辣火鍋上湯炒出香味,再加水

2:水燒開後,加入舊庄特級蠔油和全部主料,燒開煮5分鐘即可。
